GNM (General Nursing Midwifery) – Career Options after ANM/ GNM

GNM is a 3.5 year diploma course followed by a monetary internship of six months after that the aspirants is provided with registration from a specific nursing council, which make them eligible to work in various job opportunities in hospitals as well as in government sectors. GNM is a diploma in general nursing and healthcare. As per the Indian Nursing Council the course of GNM is upgraded to B.Sc. GNM Course Eligibility :-

Candidates required to clear  10+2 in  subjects Biology, Chemistry and Physics (PCB) with minimum of  40% aggregate from any recognized board.

Intermediate (12th) in English and vocational ANM (40% aggregate) from any recognized institution. Or 12th in English and vocational stream of healthcare science (40% aggregate)     from a recognized CBSE or Centre Board of Education. Need to be Registered ANM with (qualifying marks).

Age Eligibility – Minimum age required to apply for GNM is 17 years and maximum age to apply is 30 years.

ANM (Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery) – Career Options after ANM/ GNM

ANM is a 2 year  diploma course followed  with six months of necessary internship. It is  a short term nursing program which is focused upon delivering skills to the aspirants to help them become good nurses in future. Right after getting a registration from the nursing council, the student earn the eligibility to work in various hospitals.
